I have lived on and off in the French speaking country of Luxembourg for seventeen years now. I use French on a daily basis to go about my business, talk to neighbours and interact in shops. I now get a great deal of pleasure speaking French, but it was not always so. There was a time when I hated the French language.
When I was around 14 years old, I moved to Luxembourg from the North of England. The culture shock was considerable.
As a dyslexic, being dropped in at the deep end with fluent French speakers at the European School was a bit too much (to say the least). I used to dislike The French Language. It scared me. The situation wasn't helped by my teenage years and a teenager's dislike of hard work and being made of fool of.
However as an adult, I spent five years teaching English as a foreign language and found this experience helped me greatly with my French. I grew to really enjoy speaking the language. It takes a bit of time, but speaking French is an immensely enjoyable experience phonetically.
I create designs based on my passions. The French Language is one of my passions. Here is an introduction to some of my designs :-)
